What to do now
Now that you know your love language you can begin mapping out the perfect self-love day!
It is important to remember you do not have to do just what your love language is. We all need different forms of loving. So mix up your perfect self-love Valentine’s Day by incorporating multiple ways to love your body!
GETTING IN THE MOOD
We women tend to neglect our needs, not on purpose but we are just so busy caring for others, curse our nurturing instinct😇
That is why to have the best self-care day you need to get yourself in the mood 😉
Start by getting your thoughts and tasks all out either on a piece of paper or your planner, that way you can have a clear mind.
Then, create a calming mental presence either by meditating, listening to music, going for a walk, or whatever way gets you ready to focus on your needs. I like to go in my room lay on the bed and take a couple of BIG deep breaths, it’s cathartic.
Your day is just for you
Remember your self-love day is just for you and can be whatever you want it to be.
Maybe your idea of some self-love is sinking into a bubble bath and indulging in some wine and your secret books, or a TV show!
But make sure you are the only one invited so kick your hubby or boyfriend out and have a task the kids can do to ensure you have your much-needed time to yourself ALONE!
It is important to remember why you need to take time for yourself, especially on Valentine’s Day. Don’t get me wrong I am a romantic but I think we need to focus on romanticising self-love too! Spending a romantic day with your partner is important and beneficial to your relationship, but if you don’t care for yourself you can’t expect to care for others and have a good relationship if you are broken down and exhausted.
There is absolutely no shame in taking time to decompress and pamper yourself. Whether you are a single strong independent woman, girlfriend, wife, mom, grandma, auntie, best friend, or all of the above, you need some much-needed TLC as much as anybody!
Getting to some lovin’
Now that we have our self-love day mapped out it is time to execute!
Remember to fully invest yourself into this Valentine’s Day Self-Love guide! Do NOT let your thoughts of not being worth the pampering or your “busy” schedule get in the way!
Block out your TLC time and fill your thoughts and body with the unconditional love it deserves!
Repeating some affirmations like these can be beneficial in creating a loving mental space.
I am worthy of love,
I am worthy of pampering,
My body deserves to feel special,
I am loved.
Feel free to repeat these affirmations to yourself as you are sitting in your self-love day bubble bath or while you are having your nails done or getting a massage.
I also have this FREE PDF of more self-love affirmations you can download and use to repeat to yourself, also feel free to set it as your phone wallpaper so you can always see them!

Valentine’s Day Self-love ideas
I hope this post has helped you become more confident in treating yourself as well as offered ideas on how you can better take care and love your body!
Valentine’s Day does not have to always be about your partner and your love for one another, but it can also be about your love for yourself!
To take care of others means to take care of oneself! You cannot fully invest yourself into other relationships if the relationship with yourself is hurting.
Treating yourself does not have to have a negative connotation anymore, it is not selfish it is selfless! And what better day to show yourself some love than on Valentine’s Day!
